When the seventh grade class went to the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum we explored many exhibits. During our exploration we stopped by the Mysteries of the Marsh exhibit. While we were there the students discovered why protecting wetlands is important for the endangered species in Illinois. They held turtles, touched lizards, and even had snakes wrap around them. Some of them can finally say that they have held a snake. I wonder how it felt when they held that snake?
