The seventh graders experiment for the day was to find out how much power a solar cell could get from direct contact to a light bulb. The materials needed were a ruler, a holding block, a light bulb, a voltmeter, and a solar cell. The mission was to test and see if the cell could receive higher or lower amounts of power from different distances. They kept the light at the same distance from the block that was holding the solar cell each trial. Throughout the trials they used a voltmeter to measure how much power the cell was given. Each group had different results based on the distance they placed their light away from the solar cell. Below gives you a glimpse of what occurred during the experiment.
